TWO lanes of the busy M6 were closed in Staffordshire following a “multi-vehicle” accident.
The incident happened shortly after 11am on the southbound carriageway between junctions 12 and 11a and involved lorries and cars, the Highways Agency said. Delays stretched back as far as junction 14, at north Stafford.
Paramedics attended the scene and a man was taken to hospital suffering a chest injury. No-one else was hurt in the incident, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
