STAFFORD Michelin-star trained chef Matt Davies who works at the Moat House in Acton Trussell will be doing cookery demonstrations at a special food event next week.

The chef will give cookery demonstrations at the event Living Live event at Uttoxeter Racecourse on June 22.

During his time with The Lewis Partnership, which owns the Moat House, Matt has won Restaurant of the Year at the Taste of Staffordshire Good Food awards eight times, the Special Chef award at the British Culinary Federation awards in 2011 and the Louis Cipolla National Chef of the Year award for culinary excellence.

Matt is also the chairman and chairman of judges for the Staffordshire Masterchef and Young Chef of Tomorrow, an annual competition focused on developing gastronomic talent within Staffordshire.

He said: “As I currently run a successful group of four restaurants within Staffordshire, I’m passionate about the county and am really excited to be demonstrating at a show which will allow me to show the great variety of produce available in the area. I’ve got some really great ideas up my sleeve, so make sure you come to Living Live 2014 and see what’s on the menu.”
