A FAN of Stafford 90s techno act Altern-8 has set up a Facebook campaign to get the 1991 rave classic Activ-8 to number one at Christmas.
It follows the success of the 2009 campaign to sabotage the X Factor reign on the festive number one slot which saw Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name topping the festive charts.
The Altern-8 Facebook page has grown to more than 15,000 likes in a week with growing support from rave fans in Stafford and beyond.
The song originally reached number three in the charts in November 1991 - a good week for Stafford dance acts as Bizarre Inc, who also hail from the town, appeared at number four in that same chart.
