STAFFORD’S Bingley Hall will be transformed into a canine paradise when it opens its doors when it becomes home to a brand new family dog show this October.

Organisers hope Paws at Bingley will attract more than 2,000 visitors to the county showground on Sunday, October 6 to watch dog displays, demonstrations, take part in activities with their pets, pick up top tips from a host of animal experts and even give their pets an MOT.

Organiser Alex Baker, from event organisers Pet Care Trust – the charitable arm of the Pet Industry Federation - said: “We are really excited about bringing this new family dog day to Stafford.

“We’d like to invite anyone who loves dogs to come along and celebrate life with man’s best friend.

“There will be so much to do during the day, and because the event is indoors, we don’t have to worry about the weather!”

One of the highlights of the show will be the British DogGrooming Championship - the UK’s longest-running dog grooming competition - which sees dog groomers from all over the UK compete for the title of groomer of the year.

Tickets for the event are £8.50 for adults and £4.20 for children and free for under 5s, if booked online before 1st September.

Family tickets are also available, at £17 for a family of four (booking online before 1st September) and can be purchased from www.pawsbingley.co.uk.
