ORGANISERS of a canal festival are hoping for record-breaking crowds at the annual event this weekend.
More than 10,000 people enjoyed the three-day May Bank Holiday Canal Festival at Norbury last year and Shrewsbury and Newport Canals Trust say even more are expected this year
The festival, from Saturday to bank holiday Monday, sees visitors descend on the village for the county's largest gathering of boat traders, modern narrowboats and restored working boats.
The festival boasts a range of attractions such as boat trips, traditional market stalls, a bouncy castle, live music, a fairground and a WI tea stall.
Doors open at 10am each day and evening entertainment includes bands and solo artists in a marquee outside the pub. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday can be bought in advance for £5 from the Junction Inn or £7.50 on the night.
