MEMBERS of Brocton Brownies took part in a huge camp at Cannock Chase’s Beaudesert Park as part of a special under-canvas adventure to mark 100 years of the Brownies.

The girls, aged between seven and 10, joined more than 270 other Brownies to celebrate the Big Brownie Birthday with Cosmic – a massive girl-only camp packed full of adventurous activities, birthday fun and the chance to meet new friends.

The girls enjoyed a range of adrenaline-fuelled activities, including climbing, slippery pole, giant slide and campfire cooking.

The activities were drawn from the Brownie Adventure programme, which aims to build girls’ confidence and self-esteem, encourages them to become active citizens and learn about the wider world and gives them a space to have fun and be themselves with other girls.
