KATHARINE House Hospice in Stafford hosts its 12th ladies golf challenge at Brocton GC on Thursday.
A total of 35 teams of four ladies representing the cream of ladies golf in Staffordshire compete for Katharine House. The event promises to be a wonderful day of golf for the ladies taking part – but also a superb fund-raising event for the Hospice.
With prizes awarded at a special presentation evening for the three top teams, competition will be fierce and additional fund-raising activities such as a raffle will also be taking place on the day.
Hospice fundraiser Kat Hindmarsh said: "The ladies are representative of a wide range of local golf clubs, all coming together to help raise funds for the Hospice.
"Organised by a committee of local ladies, the event highlights how local groups and organisations help us in so many ways to carry on caring for local people.
“We cannot thank the golf committee enough for their support over the years. We are also extremely grateful to Brocton Hall Golf Club for allowing us to use their superb course."
The Golf Day is one of the ways in which the Hospice is celebrating its 25th year of providing free care for the people of the region.
