THE OWNER of a burgled hair salon is calling for thieves to return a phone containing poignant pictures of her late father.

Opulence in Market Place, Uttoxeter, was entered at around 6.30pm on Wednesday by two men, who left a few minutes later.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “. The owner realised her mobile phone had been stolen.

“The blue Galaxy 3 phone was in a zebra-skin-patterned case. The phone has the only photos the owner has of her father's last days in hospital before he died last weekend.

“The owner and police are appealing to the offenders to return the phone, which has been reported to the service provided as stolen and will no longer work. “

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 584 of January 15.
