BUSINESS folk queued up to get behind bars as part of a tour of Stafford Prison organised by Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The tour proved very popular selling out all 55 places within a couple of days of tickets being released.
Guests got a behind the scenes look and history of the Marston Road gaol and had a briefing from the governor before visiting departments including education and industry.
They were shown clothes inmates had made and given information about what support is given to find work and accommodation once they are released.
The even finished with a question and answer session with the governor.
The chamber’s events co-ordinator Kelly Thelwell said: “The tour was really popular and we will probably run it again next year. People had lots of questions for the governor.”
