A CAR ended up on its roof after colliding with a stationary vehicle in Stafford this morning. The driver was rushed to hospital after the smash in Newport Road, near the junction with West Way at around 6.25am. Drivers faced hold-ups following the crash as the road was closed by police. A police spokesman said a silver Vauxhall Zafira had been in collision with a blue Mazda, which was stationary. The man driving the Zafira was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire but his injuries were said to not be life threatening. Anyone with information should contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 102 of June 10.
