Stafford's Katharine House Hospice been given a boost of over £2,400 as part of £23,000 donated to hospices around the county by Staffordshire Freemasons.

Dr Alexander Stewart, provincial grand master of Staffordshire Freemasons visited Katharine House to present the donation and see its work.

Hospice chief executive Dr Richard Soulsby said the £2,443 donation would make a 'real difference' to the support staff could give to patients and their families.
