Clapton tribute back in Cannock

GUITAR-based tribute band Classic Clapton return to Cannock’s Prince of Wales after a a nine-year absence.


The band has sold out venues in several towns on their current tour. The band was formed in 1995 and was originally called After Midnight after Eric Clapton's first solo hit.


They have appeared at The Royal Festival Hall, London and at Glastonbury Festival.


They have also performed at Clapton's fan club convention in London and completed three gigs at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. Two years ago they undertook a 25th anniversary tour throughout the UK.


Fans can expect to hear hits including Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven, Crossroads, I Shot The Sheriff, Lay Down Sally, Sunshine of Your Love, Cocaine and of course Layla.
