CHURCH NEWS: Welcome to the Revd Adrian Low, who has joined the Clergy serving the Benefice. The Revd Low is training to be a full time vicar, and his placement in the Benefice is designed to give him the necessary experience. The majority of his time will be devoted to Colton and Great Haywood. We also extend a special welcome to his wife Joanna and their family.

The results of the elections to the Parochial Church Council of St Stephen’s held at the annual meetings in April were: Churchwardens, Bryan Symes and Claire Hunt; Deanery Synod Representatives, (for three years), Jenny Pearce, Angela Powner and Claire Hunt; and PCC members are Pam Dyble, Janice Rivers, Harry Lloyd, Andy Cooper, Rose Lambert, Mark Oliver and Sally Butlin, with John Heath as a co-opted member.

There will be a visit by the St John’s (Burton-on-Trent) Men’s Group to St Michael’s at 7.30pm on Monday, 16th June.

Planning is underway for a Christmas Tree Festival in St Stephen’s over the weekend of 28th, 29th and 30th November. There will be a flower arranging demonstration on the Friday evening.
