LOCAL job creation has been give a £4 million to help create 900 new jobs by 2017.
Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce this week confirmed it has won the grant, part of the government’s regional growth fund.
Matt Hustwit (pictured), jobs and growth fund programme manager at the chamber, said: “This will allow us to support the growth of both Staffordshire business and the local economy.
“By winning our bid to deliver the next round of grants, we are keeping our impetus and fuelling the economic recovery.
“At the chamber, we have received a further £4 million to help businesses create another 900 jobs by February 2017.
“This is to complement the long-term approach of the Local Enterprise Partnership’s strategy – helping us to invest in and support businesses.”
