Course aimed at aspiring cricket umpires planned

MILFORD Hall Cricket Club are hosting a level one course for aspiring cricket umpires next month.

 

The course is being held on Sundays, March 3 and 17 and costs £50 which includes all materials and a copy of Tom Smith’s Cricket Umpiring, Scoring and Laws of Cricket book.

On completion of the course, aspiring umpires will have qualified to umpire junior games, club-based women’s and girl’s games as well as men’s club games below Premier League level.

Staffordshire Cricket Ltd are offering a 50 per cent bursary which will be paid on successful completion of the course and examination.
