Court cases heard by Cannock and Stafford magistrates

Jason Boote, 39, of Keates Avenue, Stafford, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault on May 18. He was given an 18-month community order, including 200 hours’ unpaid work, ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Alan John Bird, 41, of Vale Gardens, Penkridge, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Wheatcroft Close, Penkridge on June 12. He was fined £110, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Antony John Dunn, 49, of Wesley Avenue, Codsall, pleaded guilty to damaging a Ford Fiesta in Stafford on February 3. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £439.41 compensation, a £15 victim surcharge and £310 costs.

Amanda Maria Emery, 36, of Manor Rise, Stone, admitted possessing a quantity of diazepam, stealing a mountain bike, pedal cycle, electric toy car, Sony speakers and a Sony stereo from a garage in Lamb Lane, Stone; stealing a remote control car, garden tools, power cable, car seat, photographs, coffee machine, deep fat fryer, lawn mower and a carpet cleaner from another garage in Lamb Lane, and attempting to get into a garage in Lamb Lane, on June 15. She was given a 10-week suspended sentence, ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Melanie Joy Thomson, 58, of Pear Tree Cottage, Ellenhall, Stafford, pleaded guilty to driving above the 50 mph speed limit and driving otherwise than in accordance with the licence on the M54 at Featherstone on June 6. She was given three points on her licence, fined £130, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Daniel Anthony Evans, 34, of Craddock Road, Holmcroft, Stafford, admitted driving above the 50mph speed limit on the A460 in Cannock on October 20 last year. He was given three points on his licence, fined £135 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Lee Christopher Bithell, 29, of Trevelyans Green, Stafford, pleaded guilty to driving above the 30 mph speed limit in Sandon Road, Stafford, on October 24 last year. He was fined £215, ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs and given four points on his licence.

Robert Ian Pugh, 27, of Heronswood, Stafford, admitted driving above the 30 mph speed limit in Wolverhampton Road, Moss Pit, on September 27 last year. He was given three points on his licence, fined £135 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
