A STAFFORD householder who was denied permission to extend his house has won his case on appeal.
Wayne Brown can now build a two-storey side extension and a ground floor extension at the back of his Rising Brook home.
Stafford Borough Council’s planners refused permission for the application in March.
A government inspector said the extension would nearly double the length of the front of the existing house.
A report said: “However the design of the extension would relate well to that of the original dwelling while the break in the ridgeline and the front facade caused by the slight set back would reduce its apparent scale.”
A related application for costs was refused.
