Don't look down! A new YouGov survey has revealed that fear of heights is the most common phobia.

Snakes are the second scariest thing, followed by fear of speaking in public, and with spiders in fourth place.

Fifth is claustrophobia - fear of being trapped in small spaces, with fear of mice in sixth place, and fear of needles in seventh.

Fear of flying, fear of open spaces and crowds, and fear of clowns - coulrophobia, would you believe - make up the rest of the top ten.
