A NEW supermarket planned for Queensville in Stafford is expected to deliver around 30 full and part time jobs to the town, the Newsletter can exclusively reveal.

Discount food retailer Aldi has unveiled plans to open a new neighbourhood store on the site currently occupied by Freedom Caravans and the Gulf Petrol Station with a public exhibition set to take place on Friday Jan 31 between 3pm and 7pm at the Wildwood Community Centre for members of the public to see the plans.

An Aldi spokesman said: “We believe the Freedom Caravans site in Queensville is an excellent opportunity to offer the local community an improved choice when completing their shopping by providing a new neighbourhood food store, located in an area of Stafford where there is currently a limited offering for residents.

“We are excited about the prospect of coming to Stafford and are keen to ensure that the views of the local community are heard before we proceed.”

He said the new store would provide a modern shopping environment, enhancing the site by offering a contemporary design, carefully developed to fit with the local area.

A community newsletter with a feedback card will be sent out to more than 3,900 households for residents to offer their views on the plans.
