Staffordshire police have arrested two men after finding a cannabis factory near Eccleshall.

The discovery was made when officers executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at premises in Swynnerton Road, Cold Meece, at 12.45pm on Saturday April 5.

A 26-year-old man from Newcastle and a 36-year-old man from Tunstall were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis after officers discovered between 40 and 50 cannabis plants growing at the building.

Both men have been released on bail pending further enquiries until a date in May.
