ALTHOUGH entries have closed for this year's Stafford half marathon, there is still time to take part on the day.
Family, friends and schoolmates are being invited to enter the popular Stafford fun run, being staged on the same day.
The one-mile run takes place in Stafford town centre, with many participants competing in fancy dress. Online entries close on Friday, March 7. After this date, entries are only available on the day (March 16) at the fun run late entry desk in Market Square. On the day entries will face a £2 surcharge.
Pre-entry fees are: four to 18 years (free for those in full-time education), £4 for individuals aged 18 upwards and £12 (groups of four). Those signing up on the day for the fun run can do so from 8.30am and before 9.45am.
Organisers strongly recommend that an adult supervisor (over 16 years) accompany all fun run participants under the age of 12 years.
