Entries being taken for Hospice charity golf day at Trentham

ENTRIES are now being taken for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice Annual Golf Day which takes place on Thursday, May 22, at Trentham Golf Club.

This event has, over the years, become one of the biggest charity golf days in North Staffordshire, raising in excess of £165,000 for the Hospice.

This year’s event is sponsored by Altecnic Ltd, Ryman Stationers and Trentham Golf Club who are covering the core costs of the event.

The entry fee for a team of four is £350 and any combination of ladies, men or mixed teams can take part. The entry fee includes a free golf clinic prior to the round from the Staffordshire County Golf Partnership.

Alan Sherwin, managing director of Altecnic said: "Altecnic has been a proud sponsor of this event for many years.

"Our team has always looked forward to this event and is definitely one of the highlights of our golfing calendar. It is always a pleasure to meet old and new friends while supporting such a fantastic cause.“

Malcolm Cooke, director at Rymans said: "We are very proud to have such a good relationship with Douglas Macmillan Hospice and is on a par with any charity event we are involved with and has become a fixture in our company’s calendar."

Richard Minton, general manager at Trentham Golf Club said: We are delighted to host, once again, the Annual Golf Day for the Hospice. We trust the day will be as successful as in previous years, raising a great deal of money, for what is a fantastic local charity.“
