Enville cyclist death: Staffordshire police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died of his injuries after hitting a lamp post in Enville, South Staffordshire on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened at around 3.30pm on Saturday March 15 on the A458 Bridgenorth Road in Enville, near to the junction of Blundies Lane.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to Russell Hall Hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

He has been named as Christopher Storer, aged 51, of Dix Avenue, Smalley, Derbyshire. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

The road was closed until around 7.20pm while specialist officers carried out an investigation.

Witnesses are asked to contact PC Andy Hogan at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 489 of March 15.
