THE talented students and professional chefs at the Riverbank Restaurant on the Stafford College campus have come to the rescue of busy business people living life at the double.
A new Express Lunch service has been introduced because the Riverbank Restaurant believes that too many people skip lunch or grab a sandwich because they haven’t got time to eat properly. They say it offers customers the opportunity to enjoy great food, fast. The guaranteed service time of 50 minutes ensures that diners can be back at their desks, fully refreshed in less than an hour.
“At the moment, business people and rushed office workers are missing out on a proper lunch and important time to take a break. They are also losing valuable time to network with contacts in a relaxed environment,” explains Alison Malcolm, of Stafford College.
“We launched the service at the end of the summer term and were overwhelmed by the support we received from the local business community. They told us that they wanted to be able to talk to clients or colleagues over lunch without losing too much of the working day. The restaurant has the advantage of a central location within sight of the railway station and public car parks, so it is an extremely convenient meeting place.”
To meet the needs of busy people, the restaurant is promising that customers requesting the Express Lunch will be able to enjoy an excellent meal in a peaceful setting in just 50 minutes.
Customers enjoying the Express Lunch can choose two or three courses, with prices from just £9. The service resumes in September, when the team will be launching their new autumn menu.
The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday and Friday during term time and the Express Lunch will be served from 12pm – 1pm. Bookings can be made by telephoning 01785 275527 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, mentioning Express Lunch with your reservation.
