IT has been another fantastic week of fishing at Seighford Lakes.
Plenty of fish have been caught, using various methods and over both lakes.
Floating line or sink tips have been taking the most fish, with lures or larger nymphs working well.
The water is getting clearer every day therefore smaller flies will soon be on the trout’s mind, with good hatches of small buzzers coming off over the weekend.
Both lakes had a good fresh stock of fish last week, which always helps fishing because new fish are very willing to take and they also liven up the older fish.
Tony Sunderland showed the way when landing 13 rainbows up to 8lb, all on a green/white fritz, two feet under the indicator.
He caught all over the Swan Neck pool, including the new spot opened up in the Bay behind the island.
Seighford Lakes are hosting the World Small Water Championships, over both lakes, on March 16. For more details, call 01785 282967.
