SIX local football teams will hope to see some action on Saturday after all experienced postponements this week.

All matches involving Brocton, Stafford Town, Eccleshall, Stone Old Alleynians, FC Stafford and Eccleshall AFC were called off due to waterlogged pitch.

Stafford Town did take in a friendly on FC Stafford's 3G all weather pitch at Rowley Park, but the other five teams were left frustrated.

This Saturday, Midland Combination Premier leaders Brocton, currently three points clear of nearest challengers Nuneaton Griff, with three games in hand, entertain lowly Pershore Town, at Silkmore Lane (3pm).

Town, in the same division, visit third place Bolehall Swifts, while North West Counties division one outfit Eccleshall are away to Formby (both 3pm).

In the West Midland League, first division Stone Old Alleynians take on second bottom St Martins in the divisional cup, while FC Stafford visit leaders Team Dudley in a league fixture (both 3pm).

As for Eccleshall AFC, they receive Rddgate Clayton in a Staffs County League Premier fixture, at Pershall Park, with a 2pm kick-off.
