Members of the public were warned that both the River Sow and the River Penk could be at risk of flooding with Low-lying land and roads between Great Bridgeford to Shugborough on the Sow and land between Coven and Stafford on the River Penk also affected as well as the Sandyford Brook, the Rising Brook, the Ridings Brook and the Saredon Brook.

Thursday is expected to be mostly bright and dry, but showers could break in the afternoon and Friday will see showers for most of the day getting increasingly heavy toward the weekend.
