A SPECIAL celebration marked the landmark 30th anniversary of the Stafford and Rugeley branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The branch, which in 1994 raised enough cash to fund a lifeboat in Rhyl, North Wales, held the event at Brocton Golf Club, with more than 90 people joining the celebration.
It included a talk by Colin Williams, the regional operational manager for the RNLI and some members of the Rhyl Lifeboat crew.
The group is always on the look-out for more members to help organise fund-raising events. Anyone interested should contact branch chairman Eric Wood on 01889 881477.
