A NIGHT of fun will help pull in pounds for a disabled Stafford teenager this month.

Fundraisers are collecting cash to help the parents of Megan Stokes build her an extension room, which will allow her some independence.

The 14-year-old has a number of conditions, including motor and learning disabilities and visual problems, and she needs help with personal care and everyday tasks such as getting dressed.

Police officers Paul Baron and Stuart Mahon are preparing to scale Mount Snowdon to raise money for the extension, which will which will provide a ground floor bathroom fitted with gadgets.

But other supporters can help Megan closer to home at Casa in Bridge Street, which is hosting a fundraising evening on January 31 from 8pm to 11pm.

Bosses have donated the venue for free for the night and there will be soul and Motown tunes and a “full Monty”-style performance by brave male volunteers.

Tickets cost £5 each and are available from Sandra Dale on 01785 212806.
