A FESTIVE season of family events at Stafford's Guildhall shopping centre will see amazing angels, Victorian carol singers, a giant snowglobe, a real-life reindeer and a special guest with a sleigh full of presents in his grotto.
A packed programme of Christmas events starts on November 23 with the lights switch on and the annual Father Christmas parade, featuring marching bands costumed characters and a reindeer, beginning at 11am and culminating in a spectacular fireworks display from the shopping centre roof.
The week after on November 30 the Guildhall will play host to 'A Dickensian Christmas Dong Dong' and following that on December 7 the 'hilarious Price Check checkout girls' and a giant snowglobe which shoppers will be able to climb inside and become a part of a traditional Christmas scene.
On December 14 Spark the Sparkling Robot will visit the centre with the traditional Victorian Carol Singers taking centre stage on December 22.
And Santa will be in his grotto - free to enter - every weekend from November 23 all the way up to December 23.
Richard Ralph, associate director of DTZ, managers of the Guildhall, said he hoped the fun-packed programme would entertain shoppers and keep them coming back to Stafford throughout the holiday season for their Christmas shopping.
He added: "This year’s Christmas events promise to be as colourful as ever."
