TEACHERS from Sir Graham Balfour High School in Stafford say this year’s GCSE results closely mirror last year’s performance.

Five A* to C grades were achieved by 65% of students, including in English and Maths.

Head teacher Dave Wright said: “I am thrilled with these results, which mirror closely last year’s strong GCSE performance.

“They represent excellent outcomes, especially given the increased rigour brought about by recent changes to exam structure.

“I am also delighted with out very strong E-Bacc result, which gives a clear indication of strength in key academic subjects; a just reward for all and an accurate reflection of the close working relationship which exists between students, staff and parents.”
