GNOSALL

JAMBUSTERS (WI): On Wednesday Sue Lang will be sharing her experiences of working with riding for the disabled at the community room in the fire station at 7.30pm. New friends are always most welcome.

GNOSALL ALLOTMENTS AND GARDENS ASSOCIATION (GAGA): The group supports local gardeners as well as allotment holders and the shed is open most weekends during the growing season stocking a range of essential garden products including compost, fertilisers, canes and netting. Seeds can be ordered at a discount rate for members, membership is £3.50 a year (including a £1 voucher to spend at the shed). HELP FOR ORGANISATIONS AND CLUBS: The Gnosall Parish Newsletter make a donation every year on behalf of it’s readers to help local organisations. Anyone interested in benefiting from this scheme should contact Joyce Rowe at newseditor@gnosall.info and explain how a donation might help the decision will then be put to a committee.

YOUTH CLUB SOS: The staff team at the youth club are in urgent need of volunteers/ parents to help them run the junior and senior youth club sessions on Friday evenings. For more info contact Lauren Baxendale on Lauren.youth@staffmc.org.uk or 01785 242634.

GFEST 2015: Plans for the next festival have begun with the date of the carnival being brought forward to June to coincide with the carnival on June 20 2015. To get involved contact the parish office on 01785 822685, the next group meeting will be held on September 10 2014 at 7.30pm in the parish office.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT: The Gnosall committee has been working with the local community and has donated £9001 in 2013. For more info contact www.macmillan.org.uk

CHURCH EATON

ST EDITHA'S CHURCH: On Sunday there is a family service at 9.30am with the worship group. The twenty is plenty service for children and their parents is on Tuesday at 3.30pm.

INSTITUTE: Zumba continues on Tuesday at 6pm and the Church Eaton and District Dog Society has its weekly training class at 7pm on Wednesday.

SCHOOL: The following children gained last week’s award for helpfulness: Matilda Massie and James Whitehouse (Class 1); Ella Terry and Tyler Hitchens (Class 2) and Richard Hanley-Walsh and Calli Webb (Class 3).

BELL RINGING and CHOIR: Bell ringing is on Wednesday at 7pm followed by choir practice at 8pm in the church.

PARISH COUNCIL: The next meeting of the parish council is on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the institute. The clerk is Diane Key on 822723 or email diane@fellpony.me.uk Copies of the agenda and the minutes of the previous meeting are on the village notice board and web site.
