LIVE MUSIC: There will be live music tomorrow for Valentine’s Day at the Royal Oak featuring Stafford number one party band 3/6d, with Hoggys Hot Mixes. Free admission, starts at 8.30pm until late.

PHOENIX CLUB: Tomorrow a talk entitled “Not Norway” including slides and a talk about holiday travels has been organised and will start at 10am in the Grosvenor centre. On Monday the table tennis group will meet at 2pm until 4.30pm in the Brearley room.

COFFEE AND CONVERSATION: Everyone is invited to a coffee morning organised by the Friend’s of St. Lawrence on Tuesday from 10am until 12 noon at the Grosvenor centre.

MILITARY WHIST: The next game will be on Wednesday at 7.45pm in the Grosvenor centre, for more info contact Don and Hilda on 01785 824984.

CATHOLIC NEWS: This Sunday’s Eucharistic Minister will be Lorna Povey with readings and intercessions from Alison Rhodes.

METHODIST CHURCH: This Sunday’s service will start at 10.30am.

ST LAWRENCE CHURCH NEWS: Sunday’s services include Holy Communion at 7.45am, a parish communion at 10.30am and an evening service for rest and reflection at 6.30pm.

U3A: The group have organised a talk at 2pm in the British Legion Club on Audley Road, Newport.

GNOSALL LIONS: The group presented a defibrillator, bought with money raised mainly during President John Beswick’s year of office, over to the First Responders. The defibrillator is located on the wall outside the petrol station and responders have started training to use it. For more info contact Pam Talbot on 01785 823177.



On Sunday there is Holy Communion Service at 8.00am with Rev Sue Symons. For more information about our church see the Parish Magazine. The deadline for contributions for the next issue is 14th February.


Church Eaton Youth club meets Thursday evening at 7.30pm.

On Wednesday Church Eaton and District Dog Society has its classes at 7pm. Contact Doug or Sandra on 823317. Thanks to this group Church Eaton has quite a lot of well-behaved canine residents.

Tickets for the Barn Dance with Ragman’s Trumpet on March 8th are on sale from committee members.

The choir will continue to meet on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. in 5 Ashley Croft. If you would like to join them contact Daphne on 823958.
