LOCAL rivals, Horns and the Navigation from Gnosall are gradually climbing the Newport and District Pool League ladder.
Horns moved into the top seven, thanks to a better games difference from the Navigation, after sinking visiting Railway Tavern 5-1.
Showing winning form for the Horns, who chalked up their seventh league success, were Wayne Baker, Dave Jolley and Martyn Holford.
Meanwhile, Navigation visited sixth place Pheasant B and pulled off an excellent 4-2 triumph.
Scott Smith, A Crossley, Steve Whitlock took three singles for the Navigation, while Luke Jones replied. Honours were then shared in the doubles, Smith and Crossley having secured the win.
But it was not the best of weeks for the Norbury based Junction teams.
The A side crashed 6-0 at second place Stag Market Drayton, while the B team slipped to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of visiting Newport Legion.
