Hagley Park bowls club get ready for the new season

HAGLEY Park Bowls Club, Rugeley are getting ready for the new season by hosting an open day on Saturday April 12.

The club will open from 1pm on the day and extend an invitation to all non-members to visit and try out the game of bowls for free.

Club chairman Enoch Dunning said: "We are a family friendly club and are always looking for new members.

Visitors will be welcome to come along to our open day, meet our members, inspect our facilities and have a game of bowls; and if they are a beginner or novice tuition will be available."

Hagley Park BC is situated off Western Springs Road, Rugeley next to the Youth Centre and parking can be found at the rear of the club off Burnthill Lane.

The club was formed around 1940 and has an active membership, which enjoys both social and competition bowling throughout the year.

Hagley Park enters a number of teams in various local crown green bowling leagues and during the year runs a number of club competitions for members to participate in. New members are always welcome at our club.
