A HORSE that captured Newsletter readers’ hearts has found a new home with a family in Doxey.

Louise Ayling appealed through our pages for someone to adopt Queen of Hearts, a horse left alone in a field near Stafford after her owner was unable to catch her and move her with her stablemates.

“I had such a fantastic response to the article,” said Louise.

“It was amazing how well it turned out.”

Ms Ayling said she was contacted by a family that had the facilities to care for the horse.

They managed to coax 'Queenie', who is now happily re-housed.

“I was elated when I heard that Queen of Hearts was safely caught and in her new home,” said Louise.

“The next morning the family sent me a photo which said it all to me."

“It’s a very happy ending for the Queen of Hearts.”
