Dragons edge out Wildcats
The boot of Thomas Bosc helped Catalan secure a 29-22 victory over Wakefield in Perpignan.
The France international slotted a 75th-minute match-winning drop-goal to break the Wildcats' resistance, just seconds after converting Damien Blanch's second try from the touchline to level the scores.
Defeat was tough on Wakefield, who excelled at one of the hardest places to go in Super League, but their failure to protect the 16-0 lead they opened early on cost them dear, with Jason Batieri's last-minute try slightly flattering the hosts.
Mathias Pala and Gregory Mounis also crossed for the hosts, with Richard Mathers, Peter Fox, Dean Collis and Lee Smith the Wakefield try-scorers.
Hull are still seeking their first away win of the season after throwing away an early lead to suffer a dismal 36-16 defeat to Widnes.
Widnes trailed 12-4 until just before half-time but hit back with two tries apiece from man-of-the-match Paddy Flynn and Cameron Phelps.
Chris Dean, Franke Winterstein and Gareth Hock also went over for Widnes with Joe Westerman, Ben Galea and Tom Lineham replying for Hull.
