England game in doubt in Warsaw
England's World Cup qualifier against Poland in Warsaw was in danger of being postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon and in the early evening rain left large pools of water straddled across the National Stadium.
Press Association Sport understands FIFA officials and the match referee are set to make a decision at the scheduled kick-off time of 8pm BST.
But players from both sides found it virtually impossible to pass the ball when warming up ahead of the Group H encounter.
Under FIFA rules, it has to be attempted to replay the game within 24 hours should such a postponement occur.
The decision on whether the match will go ahead has been delayed until 9.45pm local time (8.45 BST), confirmed a message on the stadium's scoreboard.
