After all the rain, the baskets and tubs in our gardens are probably looking battered and may have suffered from Botrytis (when plants get very wet and warm). You may find you have a grey mould growing on them which kills off the plant. It's best to start thinking about replacing these with Pansies or Violas which will last through the Winter giving you colour until February.
Top tip: Plant dwarf bulbs underneath your pansies and they will start to flower as your bedding fades, giving you continued colour for another month. The bulbs can stay in the tubs or you could move them into your borders, but either way they will give you fantastic colour every year.

Telescopic Gutter Cleaner
As we come into Autumn all the trees will drop their leaves and the wind will no doubt blow them into your guttering. It's a great time to get yourself armed with a telescopic gutter cleaner and keep on top of the issue, before they cause drainage problems.
This simple to use tool is a must have for any home, it's telescopic which makes it ideal to clean your guttering safely and easily without the use of a ladder. It's made from lightweight durable aluminium and extends up to 2.48m. Now only £10 (reduced from £29.99) at Garden King.
Telescopic Tree Pruner
Great for reaching into hard to get places and the included saw option is great for thick branches. Autumn is the best time to prune as trees and shrubs start to shut down for the Winter. Use a prune and seal compound to seal the branches you have cut (to prevent disease entering the tree).
The handle extends up to 2.4m and has a simple twist and turn action to extend or retract. The pruner is can cut stems up to a maximum of 25mm in diameter. Estimate the size of the branch that you wish to cut and then choose the correct cutting head according to the size of the branch, use the pruning saw for thicker branches.
