STAFFORD folk can enjoy a night of “horse racing” to help trot up a fund-raising total for three charities next week.

Stafford Borough’s deputy Mayor Frank James is organising the race night at the White Eagle Club in Riverway on March 8.

Tickets are £10 and will include a Ploughmans Platter and entertainment by singer Paulo Pinto.

All money raised will go to Katharine House Hospice, Oak Tree Farm Rural Project and a donation to House of Bread, which provides a three-course meal at Trinity Church, food bags and a clothing bank for homeless people and those living on the poverty line.

Councillor James said: “We are urging people to come along and help us raise as much money as we can.”
