HOSPITAL Radio Stafford is set to expand its service to Katharine House Hospice using money from a community grant.

The charity radio station, which broadcasts to Stafford and Cannock hospitals, received the £1,800 boost after applying for the Co- op community grant.

Engineering manager Martin White, 43, said the money had been spent on transmitting equipment from America that will enable the service to broadcast at the hospice by March.

Nigel Connor, marketing and communications manager at the hospice said: “Hospital radio will make a real difference to our patients.”
