Hospital recruitment is national problem says Stafford campaigner

A STAFFORD Hospital campaigner says new figures revealing how much locum emergency doctors are paid proves recruitment is a national problem.

Cheryl Porter of Support Stafford Hospital was responding to figures obtained by the Labour Party under the Freedom of Information Act which reveal A&E locums cost the NHS more than £80 million a year.

She said “They keep trying to say we are having a recruitment problem but we have always said it’s not just here. The proof is there.”
