HUNDREDS of people gathered for a mass breastfeed in Rugeley organised by a mum who was criticised for feeding her baby in public.

Emily Slough, 27, was branded a tramp for breastfeeding her baby daughter Matilda in the middle of Rugeley town centre.

A picture appeared on a Facebook site and Emily was so outraged she shared among her friends.

She received a flood of support from fellow mums and supporters who dubbed it outrageous, as well as finding herself at the centre of a media storm.

They gathered in Market Street, where Emily was originally photographed.

Emily said: “Thanks so much for everyone who made it for the mass feed. You guys are fantastic. We had such a brilliant turn out. Massive well done to you all.”
