PERKINS Saints lost their first match in division one of the Stafford Snooker League lasgt week.
In the latest round of fixtures nearest rivals Institute A took a step closer to the summit with a 3-2 home win over the pacesetters, who are two points clear.
Derrington A also stay in the hunt at the top with a 3-2 win over Rugeley which keeps the former in third place, just four points behind Institute A.
In the other fixtures in division one Universal G registered their third win in five with a 3-2 success at basement side Constitutional B. Fourth [place Rangers A entertained Woodseaves and emerged 3-2 winners.
The final fixture of the week in the top section saw Bradley House chalk up a second win, defeating Constitutional C by the score of three frames to two.
In the only fixture in division two, unbeaten leaders Constitutional D ran out 4-1 victors at second place Univ ersal N to mjove four points clear.
Blymhill D failed to pressurise Derrington R at the top of division three as they went down 3-2 to strugglers Bradley House C. It was a first win of the season for Bradley C, who have moved five points clear of the basement.
There was a second league win for Rangers B as they moved level on points with Perkins B with a 3-2 success away to the Tixall Road team.
Rangers C completed a fine week for the Marston Road club, running out superb 3-2 winners at previously unbeaten Institute C.
