TWO Stafford teenagers are joining TV and radio personality Zoe Ball tomorrow, May 24, in a daring skydive above Salisbury Plain to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
The intrepid Stafford Grammar School pair will jump from a plane at 15,000ft, strapped to tandem parachute instructors, and reach speeds of up to 120mph as they fall towards Old Sarum Airfield in Wiltshire.
Seventeen-year-old Ben Colclough and Emily Jackson, 18, pictured, signed up to JumpFest 2014 along with 40 others - including Zoe and her brother, Jamie Clark. All have seen the devastation of motor neurone disease on a loved one and want to raise cash for the MND Association.
Ben's grandmother was diagnosed with the debilitating illness last year and it has also touched the lives of Emily's family.
"It'll be pretty nerve-wracking but I'll definitely go ahead with it," said A level student Emily.
"I think the worst bit will be sitting on the edge of the plane ready to jump, but I'm sure at that stage the adrenalin will kick in."
Ben, a local swimming champion, added: "Having a celebrity like Zoe there will make it more special."
