TWO PIONEERING Victorian women are the stars of a Stafford group’s next meeting tonight.

Lee Young will talk about the lives of Annie Quibell and Rosalind Paget at Staffordshire Egyptology Society.

The archaeologists and accomplished artists, who studied Egyptology at University College, London, travelled to Egypt at the turn of the 20th century and went on to work with famous Egyptologists including Flinders Petrie and Howard Carter.

Staffordshire Egyptology Society meets at the County Staff Club, Eastgate Street, Stafford, at 7.30pm tonight. For more information visit http://www.staffordshireegyptology.org.uk.
