ECCLESHALL writer Jeff Kent has published his latest book thought to be the first guide of its kind on the 65 hills of the county.

Staffordshire’s 1,000-Foot Peaks details the trials and tribulations of his conquests to identify and climb the peaks in 2012.

It describes how Jeff climbed the huge Yawning Stone with the aid of a ladder, encountered a herd of llamas and made notes in a field in front of a bull without realising it and struggled to stand up on Bunster Hill in a gale.

The book also features photographs, descriptions of all the peaks and the 27 circular walks through which all the peaks can be climbed.
