HOLMCROFT residents who said they like to be beside the seaside got their wish granted by their Community Organiser.
Josh Clarke is currently helping Holmcroft residents pinpoint what they love about where they live, what they want to change and what they can do about it.
They have already given their neighbourhood a tidy boost by organising a clean-up event and at their next meeting they said they wanted a community coach trip to Blackpool.
The event was partly subsidised by Josh, meaning residents could join in the fun for just £5 a ticket.
Josh who is provided by Stafford District Voluntary Services said: “The trip was a great success.
“I have listened to a lot of people over the past few months and a day trip to the seaside was a very popular idea. We decided to go with it and had a great response.”
Holmcroft resident Tanya Lead- better said: ”Without this opportunity my children would not have been to the seaside this year. It was great value and a truly fantastic day.”
Anyone else who wants to get involved with the Holmcroft project should call Josh on 07738 729852 or email Joshua.clarke @corganisers.org.uk
There are also community organisers based in Highfields, Penkside and Stone as part of the national programme, funded by the Cabinet Office.
