There have been long delays all morning in both directions on the M6 between junctions 15 and 14 after a lorry overturned on the southbound carriageway.

As of 12.30pm today the motorway was closed completely southbound to recover the lorry.

The milk lorry hit the central reservation and overturned in the roadworks area between junction 15 and Stafford services at around 6am. The northbound carriageway is also congested.

Fire crews have been at the scene carrying out recovery work and dealing with a spillage on the road.
