A MAN has died following a three-car collision on the A5.
The crash happened at Norton Canes at around 11.20am on Saturday.
Two cars had suffered substantial damage and a third sustained minor damage, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said.
He added: ““A man had been ejected from the vehicle he was driving and was in traumatic cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The man driving the second car, believed to be in his 70s, suffered a laceration to his head and was also suffering from shock.
“He received treatment at the scene and was transferred by ambulance to New Cross Hospital for further treatment. He was fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries.
“A family of four, two adults and two children, travelling in the third car were not injured in the crash. They were spoken to by ambulance crews but did not require treatment.”
